University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons

Chur, Zurich, Bern

Studying at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons is a unique experience. Our innovative bachelor and master degree programmes in niche subject areas are industry-relevant and attract students from throughout Switzerland and other countries. In particular, our English-taught Bachelor and Master degrees in Tourism appeal to international students, who seek expertise in this traditionally Swiss sector.

Innovative and Entrepreneurial

We teach the latest strategies, processes and methods from the area of innovation management. Our study programmes incorporate innovation and entrepreneurship in the curricula and our teaching methods complement face-to-face teaching with new learning technologies.

Strong Practice-Orientation

Our teachers have industry experience and are engaged in applied research projects. Real-life company projects together with numerous field trips and industry visits complement classroom teaching with relevant examples.

Sustainability

Sustainability is not just a buzzword at UAS Grisons, but is one of our core institutional values. In 2009, the UAS Grisons became the first public university in Switzerland to sign up to the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (UNPRME). The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are integrated into the curricula and academic activities. Students become familiar with the most important principles and concepts of sustainable development and learn how to incorporate them in their actions during their later professional lives.

Personal Attention, Welcoming Atmosphere

With just over 2000 students, classes are small and our professional teachers actively engage with students. Our friendly staff are glad to offer support and assistance. Students are given ample opportunities to develop their potential with an array of non-academic services.

Unique Location in the Alps

Our location in one of Switzerland’s most popular holiday regions “the Grisons” offers students the chance to take a welcome break from their studies and enjoy a wide array of outdoor activities in our spectacular natural environment.
