My Story

“From the vibrant streets of Washington D.C. to the serene beauty of Switzerland, my experience at the University of St.Gallen has been a remarkable journey of personal learning and professional growth.

When I first started my Master’s programme in Strategy and International Management, I was filled with uncertainty about my career aspirations. However, the University of St.Gallen quickly equipped me with the necessary practical insights and professional resources to pave my path forward.

During my time this university, I gained deeper insights about solving real business problems in practice than ever before. The university’s rigorous academic approach went beyond theory and immersed me in an applied learning setting through hands-on case studies, workshops, and industry partnerships. In fact, thanks to the exceptional reputation of this university, I had the unique opportunity to collaborate with renowned industry partners such as Cailler and Swisscom. These captivating projects helped me realise hat I love to drive innovation and change in organisations. By translating academic concepts into actionable strategies, I also acquired relevant skills for my future career.

Through its global presence, the University of St.Gallen also unlocked many doors for me to a unique and international job market. Within just a year, I kickstarted my career across two continents in addition to Europe. The HSG Consulting Days event paved the way for a summer internship at Oliver Wyman in Dubai; meanwhile, a valuable connection through HSG’s alumni network led to autumn internship at Simon-Kucher in Singapore. Ultimately, the numerous career events at HSG were always very valuable opportunities for me to connect with recruiters and industry professionals.

As I reflect on my journey, I am most grateful for the strong student community at the University of St.Gallen. My journey over the past year was not an easy one, but I owe it all to my peers who supported my growth along the way and empowered me to carve my path and unlock my true potential.”
