Kyla came from California to Lugano to study Computer Science in the Bachelor’s programme at USI. Her first impression was one of awe, both at the beauty of the place and at the international atmosphere that pervades USI’s walls. At first, she didn’t know anyone, but she quickly managed to make many friends. “I really appreciated how approachable and available the professors were for any need,” she said. Together with a group of friends, she also organised a hackathon called Neural Wave. They decided to create it partly because USI is a pioneering university in the field of AI, with many professors and researchers who have contributed and continue to contribute to the future of this discipline.
