My Story
“I developed my passion for research at the University of Zurich. Currently I am working on early diagnosis and new therapies for ovarian cancer.”
Viola Heinzelmann completed her training as a medical specialist at the University of Zurich. Today, the professor of gynecology and obstetrics, is the first woman in Switzerland to be head of a women’s clinic at a university. She chairs the Women’s Hospital Basel as well as the Department of Gynecology, University Hospital Basel.
