My Story

The HES-SO experience begins before you’re even accepted into a school. The internship I had to do before joining the Hepia Geneva taught me a lot about the world of work and made me realise I had made the right career choice.

A HES-SO course can open up many different opportunities. After my Bachelor’s degree, I’ll be able to go on to do a Master’s, go into research, or join the world of work straight away. I also developed my experiences with volunteer work by becoming the President of the hepia students’ association (AEH). I’m also part of a team of female HES-SO ambassadors on social networks. We make our voices heard on equality issues in the very male-oriented world of engineering. I also represent students within the mixed commission for my school, so that our opinions are taken into account for the future.

I am in the third year of my Bachelor’s degree, so I’m near the end of my course. I feel confident about the future. I’ve had high quality training with a solid technical and theory-based foundation. It gives me confidence in my employment prospects on the job market.

I’m looking forward to getting into the world of work, taking my first steps as an engineer and being able to start my first projects. I have always wanted to contribute to human development. So I’m going to work in the fields of energy, humanitarian relief, or sport. I am confident that my training at hepia will boost my prospects for a successful professional future.”
